Artspace recently asked a small group of artists to donate a logo to support Artspace's 2011 exhibitions and programs. The imagery for this tote was derived from collaging TV test screen patterns, dial phones, key board touch pads, engine diagrams, computer motherboards, warning signs, symbols and punctuation. About the Artist: Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Martha Lewis has her B.F.A .from the Cooper Union in New York, and an M.F.A. from Yale University. Subsequently Lewis has taught drawing through the College Seminar Program at Yale University, and at Columbia University. She currently lives in the USA and Europe. Her work, which is drawing, painting and installation based, comments on technology and human knowledge. This is her first foray into the world of commercially produced multiples.
